My mantra this year has been LOOSEN UP AND BUCKLE IN, BABY! Which is really just a big life lesson/ reminder to myself that I need to let go of control, brace myself and enjoy whatever life chucks my way. TODAY IS THE DAY! My collaboration with Blunt is live!!! @bluntumbrellas hit me up last year with a really open brief and an amazing level of trust in my work. I was really into the quality of their umbrellas and their commitment to working with artists in the past. So of course I said a big fat YES to a collaboration! For the design I wanted to create a canopy of really colourful foliage and wildlife. Lately in my work I have been really inspired by patterns in nature, taking them and turning them up to 11, creating intensely bright and clashy pieces. This piece to me is really special, it came at a time when I was feeling a renewed sense of fun in my work. Work for @fixationbrewing beer Social Space! Really cool to work with my Smith Street neighbours on this label. The artwork was inspired by the alien feeling of reaching back out into social life, after so much alone time. Everything feels weird, you feel weird, life feels weird, etc. etc. you all know the drill.
